If you love this style – we’ve got all the inspiration you need right here!

If you’ve ever seen an episode of “Mad Men”,  you’re already familiar withMid-Century Modern design – an era of style that began roughly in the 1940’s and continued into the 1960’s. The Mid-Century Modern design re-appeared on our radars more than a decade ago and was pushed further into the limelight by popular TV shows and currently is still trendier than ever.

The Mid Century Modern singular design is all about leaving the unnecessary behind and focusing on minimal, clean lines. When you look at design projects that follow this style, the one thing you won’t see is tons of excess. Rather than requiring a bunch of ornamental details,  the mid-century modern look focuses on stripping items down to their barest elements and letting their functionality become the star.

While highlighting minimalism, clean-lined furniture and a massive use of wood, the Mid Century Modern style also blends splashes of  bold color, arresting shapes, geometric patterns, bold wallpaper and sexy, smooth curves. The interior design is creating structures with windows and open floor plans in order to bring the outdoors inside and the final result is a composition of an elegant yet lively space.

We collected some of the best Mid-Century Modern home decor spaces to inspire you:
