Winter is here… time to say goodbye to those long sunny days and romantic Autumn and start preparing ourselves for the cold season. Brrr!
Look at it as an excellent opportunity to refresh your home decoration and to let the new season inside.

In my previous post on winter essentials I recommended on some items that can upgrade your winter decoration, so here is my next tip:
One of the easiest ways to change the look of a room (living room, bedroom or else) is to replace the art hanged on the walls; sometimes we tend to underestimate the power that art has on our lives, especially the one we choose to surround ourselves with.
The printed art that we hang on our walls can make the difference between a home that makes us feel uncomfortable or distant and a home that makes us feel warm and welcomed. It doesn’t really matter if we choose fine art, photography, illustration – or the combination of them all, the rule is that you simply need to love it.
Start by selecting the color palette that will make you feel comfortable. My personal preference for winter time is the combination of B&W, calming gray and gentle touches of color.
I find that these colors calm me, and even when I combine several pictures together, the general look is very soft and aesthetic to my taste…
I recently changed my living room wall art to abstract prints combined with warm pastel colors.
As the central piece, I chose an art print called “Not All Who Wander Are Lost” (see below).
I love the meaning of this phrase and the way it is presented in this print.
To create a warm look, I surrounded the print with smaller pictures. I believe that a gallery wall, doesn’t matter in which set up, fills the wall and gives the entire space a cozy tone…
perfect choice for my winter mood!
