Kids room decorating ideas

Children’s bedroom is not just a place to sleep at the end of a long day; it’s their “living room”, their world, their quiet place. It is where they play and do their homework, think and relax.
It is also the first sight they see when they wake up and the last one before they fall asleep.

The decoration should be functional, but yet inspiring. It should reflect the child’s temper, hobbies, and personal style (yes, they have one!) It also needs to be easy to update and change when they grow up.

Lego figures Collection

Here is an idea for all the Lego fans out there!  a useful way to keep all the main Lego figures in one place.  For the child, it is an easy way to find and organize the figures.  For you, it is a unique decoration item in the room.  Win-Win!

You can use an old or new doll house or an old letterpress drawer (if you’re lucky to find one) and place it on a shelf or hang it on the wall.

Wall Art

Don’t settle for the “standard” kid’s room’s wall art. Surround them with unique art which will inspire them, open their mind and will express their personal taste and likings.

You can buy affordable art from society6 independent artists; check one of my favorite ones:
Muxxi – Illustrator of magical creatures
: Muxxi, based in Guatemala City, builds imaginary worlds filled with mysterious and colorful creatures. Her unique art, fantastic and colorful, presents the free spirit and creativeness in each and one of us.
